Runners For Life is a collective group of invested and committed individuals with a mission to “Make A Difference” through our efforts, energies, and activities to improve quality of life. Our philanthropic desire is to: encourage the participation of others; to provide a spirit of health and giving; and to share the results of a charitable heart.
Jay Miller has been volunteering for Runners for Life for the past 14 years. Prior to becoming a board member he was an active participant in the fundraising efforts for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, as well as numerous other charities. His charitable passion shifted toward The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society after losing his father to this deadly disease. Since that time, he has been focused on helping others who are battling, have a relative or loved one who is battling, and God willing those who have beat blood related diseases and cancer.
The Andy Allen Clays for a Cure Challenge (AACFAC): AACFAC was created in 2014, the year that Andy Allen relapsed, by a group of volunteers who considered the Allen family … well, “family.” Someone had to do something to help Andy and others like him. Andy is a two-time survivor of Leukemia and remains in remission. This fundraiser is in honor of him and to help find a cure for all that are going through the same battle.
